Message of congratulations to President Pranab Mukherjee of the Republic of India on Republic Day

Dear Mr. President,

On behalf of the Lithuanian people and on my own behalf, I would like to extend congratulations on the occasion of India's national holiday - Republic Day. I send my best wishes for your continued health, strength and success, as well as for the peace and prosperity of your country and its people.

The adoption and entry into force of the Constitution of India more than six decades ago marked a decisive step towards the establishment of liberty, democracy and the rule of law in your country. I strongly hope that these values shared by our both countries will serve as a basis for the further development of close bilateral dialogue and intensive cooperation in launching even more business, cultural and public initiatives.

As we encounter ever more international challenges to the security and well-being of our people these days, I would like to believe that India will continue to effectively contribute to safeguarding peace and stability in the region and the world.

May I again congratulate you on Republic Day. Please accept, Mr. President, the assurances of my highest consideration.
